Mexico DF

We are back in Sweden now but the last two months in Mexico we were so busy traveling and hosting visits that I didn't manage to post anything here. Anyway, in February we had to leave the country (poor us :P) due to that we could be there only for six months as tourists. So we went to Cuba :)! Since there are no direct flights from Guadalajara we took the opportunity to see Mexico City. We took the night bus there (it takes around 6-7 hours from Guadalajara) and stayed there two days before our Cuba trip and two days after. The first day we took a tour around the historical centre and went on the hop-on-hop-off buses around the city. The next day we visited the Frida Kahlo museum in Coyoacan and strolled around there. When we came back from Cuba we went up the Latin American Tower to look at the view and strolled in the Colonia Roma.

The "Zocalo" (Mexico City's main square) was covered with an exhibition of the army. Parrot made of weapons.

Even the mexican militaries can't be without their tortillas :).

Nice houses in "La Condesa"

Palacio de Bellas Artes (the museum of fine arts)

La casa azul! Frida Kahlo's house

Vendors in Coyoacan

Street plants

They have their bicycle sundays in DF too :)!

The monument of the revolution

You can find a lot of interesting architecture in DF, like this grass covered wall with a bike.
